Biographical Sketch:
Author and Historian, John E. L. Robertson was born September 2, 1928 in Union County, KY to Glendola Lever. He married Margaret Byassee and had two children, John E. L. Robertson II and Dr. Ann Elizabeth Robertson. He attended Western Kentucky University, before gradutating from Murray State University with a major in History. After completion of his undergradute Mr. Robertson joined the United States Marine Corp, becoming an officer with a specialty in communications (leed crytpo officor) in the Second Devision. John worked for the IC Railroad for 15 years, before completing his masters degree from the University of Louisville. He accomplished evertything except his disertation in leading to a Ph.D. at the Universtiy of Kentucky. He got a second Masters degree in Economics from Murray State University. He taught at Paducah Community College where he served as Academic Dean. This interview was conducted in faculty rooms of Rosenthal College, Paducah Community College, Paducah, KY.
