Black and white photograph taken of a group of men during 1937 Flood in Paducah, KY. A similiar photograph appeared in the February 4, 1937 edition of the Paducah Sun-Democrat with the caption, "Paducah relief officials and members of President Roosevelt's flood investigation commission posed for this photo in Paducah during their conference yesterday afternoon. In the group, left to right, (front row) are: County Judge Brady M. Stewart, chairman of the disaster committee of the McCracken County Red Cross; Col. Lawrence Westbrook, of the WPA; Dr. Thomas Parran, U. S. Surgeon General; Harry L. Hopkins, WPA administrator; Gus Meyer, national Red Cross relief official in charge of work in this area; and City Manager L. B. Bean, who is in command of all relief work in Paducah.
