Farmer Rufus Napolean Shelby was born on December 27, 1892. He died on September 1, 1984.
Description:
Mr. Shelby remembers the burning of the river boat "City of Pittsburg." He recalls the construction of a section of the I.C. Railroad. Mr. Shelby also gives a brief history of the community of Kevil, businesses, telephone service, individuals and mentions huckster wagons operated by stores, adding comments on premiums available from Arbuckle and Lyons coffees.
