Biographical Sketch:
Lewis Edward Wilson was born on April 6, 1891 to Charles Owen Wilson and Emma Thomas Bufford.He was one of 11 children. He lived his whole life living and working as a farmer in Livingston County. He had three children, Helen Wilson Dickenson, Edward Ellis Wilson and Forrest Owen Wilson. He later married Lucy Guard Adams Wilson. He died on February 24, 1978 and was buried in the Cothron Cemetry in Smithland, KY.
Description:
Mr. Wilson comments on his education, having debates and spelling bees, he talks about land prices and the payoff on barn construction loans. He also recalls the 1935 hanging of W. Deboe and discusses attempted prison escape and subsequent shooting of "Red" Davenport.
