Lawyer, James Guthrie Wheeler was born April 1, 1890 to Charles K. and Mary K. Wheeler in Paducah, KY. He married Bertha Elizabeth Ferguson Wheeler (1898 - 1973). He died August 18, 1981 and was buried in Oak Grove Cemetery in Paducah, KY.
Description:
James Wheeler speaks briefly of his life, education and law practice. He mentions his father (Charles K. Wheeler 1863-1933) working for the Goebel campaign, the free silver issue, the Stanley-Morrow campaign and other political figures he has me. Mr. Wheeler comments on Night Rider and Ku Klux Klan activities in McCracken County and recalls acquaintance with Irvin S. Cobb and makes a statement concerning him.
