B. Lester Holland; Chief Water Tender; Paducah, Kentucky; Born in Lyon County, Ky., Oct. 30, 1888; Son of L. Porter and Jennie Holland; Enlisted in Navy October, 1915; Served in England. Was at the surrender of the German fleet.

Sergeant Guy McElrath; Paducah, Kentucky, Route No. 2; Born in Marshall County, Ky., Oct. 19, 1892; Son of William and Laura McElrath; Enlisted in the Standing Army December 9, 1912. Trained at Jefferson Barracks, Brownsville, Texas, San Francisco, Ca., and El Paso, Texas. Was sent August 18, 1917, to Fort Snelling, Minn., and then to Camp Devins, Mass., where he was stationed at the close of the war.
