Depiction of the Confederate Memorial, General Lloyd Tilghman's monument in Lang Park on Fountain Avenue in Paducah, KY. Note reads: "11-30-10 [illegible] Will Kid. Rec'd your letter today and was nearly tickled to death. Wonder how you are getting along by this time? Glad to hear you are having good times. The only time I have good times is when I'm working at my books. [illegible] the days were about three or four hours longer so I could get in more time. We had a rain and hail storm here Sunday afternoon about 4:00 and is now cold as all get out. About four or five above zero. It made Dutch get some more clothes. I may ans [sic] your letter Sat. if nothing hapens. Your own, George." Addressed to Miss Dottie Manees, McClure Ill.
