According to Way's Packet Directory, 1848-1983, The SILVER CLOUD burned at Birmingham, Marshall County, KY in October of 1887. Also mentioned here are notes on packet boat traffic on the lower Ohio. Belle Terry was born January 1, 1854. She married Alexander Terry and the couple lived in Birmingham, Marshall County, KY before moving to Paducah. From 1908 until her death she lived on Terrell St. in Paducah primarily 611 Terrell near the Ohio River. Alexander Terry fought in the Indian wars as a Private in the 38 Regt. U.S. Inf. Company E. and died April 1, 1919. Belle worked most of her live as a laundress and domestic worker. She died January 14, 1947 and is buried in Oak Grove Cemetery. Aunt Belle Terry appears in Mary Wheeler's book Steamboatin' Days on pages 35-37 and is credited with the song Oh, Annie, Oh and Down the Rivuh, Down, Boys.
