Biographical Sketch:
Fiddle player and farmer, Rube Rowland Elrod, was born December 14, 1899 to William H. Elrod and Mattie G Elrod. He married Emily Elnora Cummins Elrod in Charleston, MO on January 31, 1942. He died on July 11, 1981 and was buried in Mount Pleasant Church Cemetery in La Center, KY.Everett Cummins was born August 1, 1913 to Caleb "Cade" Everett Cummins and Edna Elizabeth Atkins Cummins. He married Evelyn Cummins. He passed away June 21, 1990 and was buried in Barlow Cemetery in Barlow, KY.
Description:
Mr. Cummins only makes brief comments. Mr. Elrod plays the violin and mandolin: Mr. Cummins place the banjo. They play 31 tunes, tell the type of music and title of each song: recalls the nicknames for the violin and banjo: names musicians and bands he has known.
