Pat Lally was a third generation Irish-American from Paducah, KY. He married Mary Ellenor "Penny" Clements and the couple had seven children: Michael Kelly Lally, Mary Ellenor Lally Cecil, Patrick Thomas Lally III, James Joseph Lally, John Kevin Lally, Katy Lally Delahunt and Beth Lally . He attended St. Joseph College and worked as a salesman. He was a Paducah City Commissioner, and served on the Riverside Hospital Board, the Paducah Water Board, Paducah Citizens Advisory Board, and St. Mary Academy Board, among others.
