Evelyn Golightly (April 8, 1913 - March 17, 2004) grew up in Paducah, KY and attended St. Mary Academy. She married Delmar Golightly. The couple was buried in Mount Carmel Cemetery.

Evelyn Golightly gives a history of the Barger and Golightly Produce Company, and speaks of the difficulty in caring for bananas, an agreement between the McCracken County Growers Association and the produce company on selling and shipping strawberries, and recalls how the company continued to operate during the 1937 flood and that company trucks were used to help move people out of the flood areas. Mrs. Golightly comments briefly on her life.
