Corporal William Otis Powell; Paducah, Kentucky; Born at Kevil, Ky., August 5, 1895; Son of W. A. and Hette C. Powell; Entered Service April 20, 1917. With Infantry, 1st Division, Co. I. Went over with General Pershing. Over twelve months trench service. Gun shot out of his hand and shattered to pieces. Was sent to an I. C. School at LaVallorme Ain, in Southern France, which prevented his being in the last drive.
