Received nine months training at Camp Zachary Taylor, then transferred to Camp Halabird, Md., then to Camp Sherman, Ohio, back to Camp Holabird, Md., from there to Camp Mills, N. Y. Sailed September 15, 1918. Six months overseas.
Sergeant Dezzra W. Thurman; Paducah, Kentucky; Born at Paducah, Ky., October 29, 1892; Son of Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Thurman; Entered Quartermaster's Corps July 24, 1917. Sailed from Ft. Thomas to France October 29, 1917. Active service.
Cleveland J. Coleman; Mechanic, First Class; Paducah, Kentucky; Born in Paducah, Ky., Dec. 7, 1890; Son of C. C. and Josephine Coleman; Enlisted for Navy May 27, 1918. Was in training at Great Lakes.
John Miles Byrne; Master Engineer; Paducah, Kentucky; Born at Memphis, Tenn., August 14, 1893; Son of John and Agnes Byrne; Entered Engineers' Corps February 22, 1912. Was stationed in Hawaiian Islands and Camp Freemont, Cal.
First Sergeant Baker E. Jett; Kevil, Kentucky, Route 3; Born in McCracken County, May 17, 1890; Son of Lonnie and Evan Jett; Entered Service Septemeber 19, 1917, Co. A., 309th Supply Train, Q. M. Corps, 84th Division. Served in France three months. In Marseilles at close war.
