Sergt. Robt. Hughel McCarty; Paducah, Kentucky; Born at Paducah, Ky., May 10, 1896; Son of Robert E. and Maggie L. McCarty; Entered Co. B., 5th Division, 61st Infantry July 16, 1917. Over the top several times. Was in the battles of Lille and Chateau Thierry.

Roscoe Reed; Candidate in I. O. T. S.; Paducah, Kentucky; Born at Benton, Ky., January 14, 1885; Son of W. M. and Mary R. Reed; Entered Infantry Septemeber 15, 1918; Enlisted September 15, 1918. Stationed at Camp Buell, Ky., for few weeks, then was selected and transferred to Officer's Training Camp at Camp Grant, Rockford, Ill.

James Clay Finley; Paducah, Kentucky; Born at Paducah, Ky., October 18, 1885; Son of Tate and Zora Finley; In 1906 joined the Standing Army; Was stationed at Fort Leavenworth, Kans., two years, then two years in the Philippine Islands. Honorably discharged at Fort Sills, Okla., in 1910. Re-enlisted January 6, 1917, at Fort Oglethorpe, Ga. Was with Gen. Pershing's forces in Mexico. At the time the armistice was signed was stationed at Base Hospital at Fort Oglethorpe.
